ABOUT US
Beyond The Lines is a mentoring-led youth development organisation supporting young people and families to move beyond limitations, labels, and circumstances. We believe that meaningful and lasting change happens through trusted relationships, consistent adult support, and interventions that meet young people where they are. Our work is rooted in understanding the whole young person, their experiences, challenges, strengths, and aspirations.
Supporting Young People Beyond Labels
We work with young people aged 8–21 who may be experiencing a range of challenges, including those who are:
-
Struggling with emotional wellbeing or behaviour
-
At risk of exclusion or disengagement from education
-
Involved with or known to Youth Offending Services
-
Children in Care or care-experienced
-
Living with SEN, SEMH, ADHD, ASD, anxiety, or trauma
-
Affected by exploitation, peer pressure, or adverse life experiences
Our Approach
We do not deliver one-size-fits-all programmes. Every young person receives a tailored mentoring pathway, developed through assessment and reviewed regularly.
Our work is:
-
Relationship-led – built on trust, consistency, and positive role modelling
-
Trauma-informed – understanding behaviour through lived experience
-
Strengths-based – focusing on potential rather than problems
-
Flexible – adapting to changing needs, environments, and levels of risk
